10 Frequently Asked Questions 1. I applied <Insert Date/Time Here> and haven't heard a thing... Applicant processing time varies greatly... the speed depends on lots of factors as you might imagine. However, we do keep all applications on file and IGNH officers are always happy to answer questions in-game. 2. Do you guys do trials, auditions, rehearsals? If you're an applicant we're very interested in, we'll probably request you come on a trial raid with us. It's just a good opportunity for both parties to get to know one another and it's an effective "open house" of sorts. Relax, we're not the Juilliard performance school, but we do look for evidence of your class knowledge, awareness of encounters, intelligence and alertness. While we're flexible with certain scheduling, we can't always guarantee X raid on Y day. In any case, it's a good idea to have Ventrilo, Omen, CTRaid/ORA2 and whatever you need for raiding (buff food, pots, reagents, other add-ons) ready to go. 3. What kind of gear is IGNH looking for? I've gotten a lot of questions regarding this. Suffice it to say, the current focus of IGNH is 25-man content. If you're still looking for 5-man groups, we do run them informally but be advised it's just not where our raids focus on. Put another way... if you look at Utgarde Pinnacle's loot and say "gosh I need a lot of this stuff..." then you might consider a different raiding environment. 4. Who leads the raids? All of the major 25 man encounters will be run by IGNH officers and award DKP. We currently raid Naxx 25 man, Obsidian Sanctum, and Archevon's Vault. 6. Does IGNH recruit for "management positions"? No, leadership in IGNH is not recruited for. 7. How many slots in a raid per class? It really depends on the raid's location, which members are signed up and the raid leader's discretion. While IGNH uses fairly standard raid make-up, some nights have more priests than druids, some nights have more druids than priests, etc, etc. 8. Is there a standard maintank? All of our tank-spec'ed characters serve as tank at some points in raids, but yes we tend to have the same 2-3 people tank the big single-target boss fights. 9. Do I have to be unguilded to apply for IGNH? It's not our rule that applicants need to be unguilded, but your current guild may have rules in place, that's your responsibility. Your mileage may vary. 10. Do I have to be level 80? At this point, yes. 11. What about realm transfers? The process for applying as a realm transfer is the same. We don't guarantee full membership to anyone until we've raided with them. IGNH is currently recruiting holy paladins, resto shamans, resto druids and warlocks as our top priorities. We are not looking for a large number of players, just the right ones who hopefully match up with our top-priority classes. We are always seeking exceptional players *. Applicants must have epic quality gear and be available to raid Monday through Thursday from 7 to 10pm server time, if unable to commit to 4 days a week or meet the other criteria, do not apply. We are currently running 2 10-man Naxx groups each week and expect to move to 25-man Naxx early in January 2009. Generally what we're looking for is previous raid knowledge from BC or earlier is a plus. Having the appropriate spec and gear to get your job done is expected. Your gear should be leaning towards epics with a few blues with the appropriate gems and enchants. Situational awareness in raids is key! We don't go after world-firsts or 18-hour raids, but we keep an emphasis on steady guild progress. We expect raiders to arrive on-time and ready to focus and raid. We're also a family of players, some of us have played together for several years- therefore we are most interested in applicants who are mature, show excellent knowledge of class/encounter and want to be the next friend we make. Not all our members are raiders but we consider everyone a part of what makes IGNH such a great guild. Also, we expect applicants who can digest the odd "off-the-wall" joke while being excited to wear our guild tag. * We're of course always interested in "exceptional" players, high-quality gear and experience and willing to raid often. If you don't fit into one of the classes we're recruiting for, but would still like to apply, please feel free. Please put as much information as you can in your application! In all cases we are looking for intelligence, awareness, and knowledge of your class. If you're interested in applying, please use the link below, which will be confidential.
